
Arnab Senapati is a faculty in Textile and Apparel Design Discipline. He graduated with Textile Design at Kala Bhavana, Santiniketan before coming to NID as a Postgraduate student. After PGDP in Textile Design from NID, Ahmedabad, in 2009, he worked for almost 5 years as a Textile Researcher relevant to states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and Manipur for Documenting the Textile Traditions of North Eastern States of India: A Composite Design Study of Fibres, Fabrics, Looms and Tools, Users and Cultural Indicators, Project of IGNCA, New Delhi undertaken by Outreach Programmes at NID, Ahmedabad. At the institute, he teaches courses like Traditional Indian Textiles, Craft Research and Documentation, Fabric Construction, Basic Sewing Techniques and Natural Dyeing also guiding Diploma Projects.
